I love this photo of my son and his aunt JenJen! Can you see how it is so simple but it says so much? How it reflects the joy, the love; look at that genuine laughter.
This is why I love what I do. Freezing those instant moments beautifully... It happened really fast, and I am glad that I was ready to capture it.
And even though I have my good share of iPhone photos of my kid, I do as much as I can, my best to capture great images of him... not necessarily posed (have you tried to pose a 2-yr old lately?).
This will definitely make it in the photo album (PRINTED photo album). Yes, I do strongly believe in printed photographs and albums ;) I always encourage my clients as well; I want to be able to see and hold them in my hand; and not be crushed WHEN whatever digital media they are in, crashes or gets lost (because IT WILL).
This one actually begs for a two page spread!
My couple tips for you today when photographing your kids.... (1) Look for good light outdoor or indoor (no harsh direct sunlight -but the kind of light that wraps around and softens the subject). You can use sheer white curtains to soften direct light indoors. (2) Get down at their level and close in.
